Acclaimed R&B singer Aaliyah was also a talented dancer, model and actress. Aaliyah was the niece of legendary soul singer Gladys Knight, from Gladys Knight & the Pips. Aaliyah signed at the age of fourteen with her uncle Barry Hankerson's Blackground Records label. Aaliyah's debut album, Age Ain't Nothing but a Number, was produced with R. Kelly and went platinum. Aaliyah starred in Romeo Must Die and Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice novel. Aayliah continued to have posthumous hits after her tragic aircrash.
