Elvis Presley, the King of Rock 'n' Roll is a cultural icon and one of the best-selling and most influential artists in the history of popular music. On 18th July 1953 Elvis Presley went to the Memphis Recording Service at the Sun Record Company to record the first of two double-sided 'demo' acetates - "My Happiness" and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin". In 1973 the "Aloha from Hawaii" concert was the first to be broadcast via satellite and reached at least a billion viewers around the world. Elvis Presley's final performance was in 1977 in Indianapolis. John Lennon said: "Nothing really affected me until I heard Elvis. If there hadn't been an Elvis, there wouldn't have been a Beatles."
