Thunderbirds was devised by Sylvia and Gerry Anderson, who also devised Supercar, Fireball XL5, and Stingray, using "Supermarionation". Thunderbirds is the tale of International Rescue and theTracy family - Jeff Tracy and his sons John Tracy, Alan Tracy, Scott Tracy, Virgil Tracy and Gordon Tracy with their allies Brains, Lady Penelope and Parker. The series featured the five fantastic thunderbirds craft used by International Rescue and piloted by the Tracy family - Thunderbird 1 rocket plane, Thunderbird 2 vertical take off heavy duty aircraft, Thunderbird 3 single stage to orbit spaceship, Thunderbird 4 submarine and Thunderbird 5 space station from their Thunderbirds base on Tracy Island. Thunderbirds merchandise includes Thunderbirds toys, action figures and dolls of the Thunderbirds characters, die-cast and kits of the Thunderbirds vehicles, Thunderbirds trading cards, Thunderbirds games, Thunderbirds DVDs and other Thunderbirds collectables and other Gerry Anderson & Thunderbirds television memorabilia.
